marriageproposal.in is a place to find each other — not a broker, not a middleman, and not a service that takes a share of your wedding. Families publish their own profiles, reach the ones they want to, and take it from there.
Affordable, and honest about it
Creating a profile and browsing costs nothing. You pay only when you want to reach someone, and what you pay for is shown to you in rupees before you pay it. There is no auto-renewal — every renewal is a payment you choose to make. Contacts you have already unlocked stay yours, and are restored free if you renew after a lapse.
Built for how Indian families actually do this
A profile can be created by the person themselves or by a parent, sibling or relative — the flow asks who it is for and adjusts. Horoscope details sit alongside education and employment because in most homes both matter, and neither is treated as the odd one out.
Every faith, every caste, every language
Nine religions, hundreds of communities and sub-communities with the spellings families actually use, and the 22 languages of the Eighth Schedule. Search within your own community or look beyond it — that choice belongs to your family, not to us.
Checks that say exactly what they checked
Every account is mobile-verified. Government ID verification and, for Christian members, an endorsement from their own pastor or priest are available on top. A badge confirms that one named check was completed — nothing more. We would rather a badge mean one small true thing than one large vague one.
Your details are shared when you say so
Contact details are released only with the consent of the member they belong to. Chat and calls happen inside the app, so getting to know someone never requires handing over a personal number first.
Answerable when something goes wrong
A named Grievance Officer, an acknowledgement within 24 hours and a decision within 15 days — the timelines set by the IT Rules, 2021, published rather than buried.

What we are not
We are an intermediary under section 2(1)(w) of the Information Technology Act, 2000 — a platform on which members publish their own profiles and contact each other. It matters that the limits of that are said out loud rather than left to be discovered.
- We are not a marriage bureau, a broker, or an agent of any member.
- We do not arrange, negotiate or solemnise marriages, and we charge no commission on any marriage.
- Except for the specific checks named on a badge, profile information is provided by members and is not independently verified by us.
- A compatibility percentage or match suggestion is a convenience feature — never advice, and never a prediction about a marriage.
- We do not guarantee that you will find a match, or that anyone will reply.

Benagon Technologies Private Limited owns and operates this service, is responsible for the business, and is the Data Fiduciary for your personal data under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
