Take your time. Trust your instincts.

Most people here are exactly who they say they are. A few are not — and the same handful of habits protects you from all of them. None of this is complicated, and none of it is rude to insist on.

Never send money. To anyone. Ever.
No genuine proposal begins with a request for money — not for a medical emergency, not for a visa, not for a customs fee on a gift, not as a loan to be repaid after the wedding. This is the single most common fraud on every matrimonial site in India. If money is asked for, stop talking and block the account.
Know what a badge does and does not mean
A badge confirms that one specific check was completed — that a mobile number received an OTP, that an ID document was checked, that a pastor or priest endorsed a member of their congregation. It is not a character reference, and it is not a promise about anyone. Judge the person, not the badge.
Verify the important things independently
Education, employment, income, health and marital status are written by the member, not checked by us. Before anything is settled, confirm them yourself — a degree certificate, an offer letter or payslip, a medical report, and, where it matters, proof of an earlier marriage having ended.
Talk here first, for as long as you want to
In-app chat and audio or video calls exist so you can get to know someone without handing over your personal number. Contact details are only shared when the other member consents. There is no hurry to move the conversation to a private number or another app — and pressure to do so, early, is itself a warning sign.
Meet in public, and tell your family where you are
Choose a busy place in daylight for a first meeting. Tell a family member where you are going, who you are meeting and when you expect to be back. Arrange your own transport both ways. Do not meet at a home, a hotel room or an unfamiliar address, and do not travel to another city for a first meeting.
Involve your family early
This works best as a family conversation, not a private one. A parent, sibling or elder looking at the same profile will often notice what an interested person overlooks — and if something later goes wrong, you are not dealing with it alone.
Watch for the pattern, not just the incident
Declared love within days. A story that changes. Refusal to do a video call, or to let their family speak to yours. Constant urgency. A photograph that appears elsewhere online under a different name. Any one of these can be innocent; together they are a reason to walk away.
Block first, then report
You can block any member from their profile — blocking is immediate and does not tell them. Once you are no longer being contacted, report the account to us so we can act on it for everyone else too.

Reporting a profile, message or photo

Write to our Grievance Officer with the Profile ID and, if you can, a screenshot. We acknowledge every complaint within 24 hours and dispose of it within 15 days. Complaints about nudity, sexual content, impersonation or morphed images are acted on within 24 hours.

5. Safety

Photos on the Service are served through our own proxy and are watermarked for accounts on the free tier, and screenshots are blocked on Android profile and photo screens. These are deterrents, not guarantees: no app can prevent someone from photographing a screen with another device, and iOS does not permit screenshot blocking. Please upload only what you are comfortable sharing.
