RSVP
A headcount you can give the caterer
RSVP per function, in numbers rather than yes-or-no, with dietary needs and a running total. Built for weddings where invitations go to households and there are four events, not one.
The RSVP most tools give you asks one person whether they are coming to one event. An Indian wedding is neither: the invitation goes to a household, the reply covers however many of them will travel, and there are three to seven functions with different guest lists. A yes-or-no from a family of six tells the caterer nothing.
So the RSVP here asks how many, and asks it per function. What comes back is a number you can actually hand to the hall.
Numbers, not yes or no
Guests reply with how many of them are coming. That is the figure the caterer needs and the one a yes-or-no form never produces.
Per function
Mehendi, sangeet, muhurtham, reception — each gets its own count, because the people at the mehendi are rarely the people at the reception.
Dietary needs
Veg, non-veg, Jain and allergies, collected with the reply rather than by phone the week before.
A running total
Your side shows who has replied, who has not, and the totals per function as they come in.
A deadline you set
Set a reply-by date and it appears on the invitation. Guests respond to a deadline with a reason attached far better than to one without.
No account for guests
They tap the link, reply, and are done. No sign-up, no app, nothing to install — which is what actually determines whether people reply.
What you can ask for
Keep it to one screen. Every extra field loses replies, and the guests it loses are the ones you most need to count.
- Name — always.
- How many are coming — the whole point.
- Which functions, when there is more than one.
- Dietary preference and allergies.
- A phone number, so you can reach someone on the day.
- A message to the couple, if you want one. People enjoy leaving them.
Questions
- Do guests need to sign up to reply?
- No. They tap the link in your invitation and reply on the page. Nothing to install and no account.
- Can I collect replies for each function separately?
- Yes — that is the default when your invitation has more than one function. Each gets its own headcount.
- Can I export the guest list?
- Yes. The guest list is yours and can be exported, which is what you will want when the hall asks for names.
- Does RSVP cost extra?
- No. It is included with the ₹499 invitation, with no per-guest or per-reply charge.
- Can I chase people who have not replied?
- The guest list shows exactly who has not, so you can send a reminder to those people rather than to everyone. Two reminders is about right — a week out, and the day before.
- What if guests reply after the deadline?
- Replies keep coming in and the totals keep updating. The deadline is a prompt for guests, not a lock.
